Darin Balcombe
Venue Manager - Trentham & Otaki Operations

Darin is reponsible for all three venues infrastructure, operation and racing. Darin began his employment as Track Labourer and has filled positions from Gap to Pool Supervisor. Darin is an avid sports fan and along with partner Justine can be found at the Westpac stadium whenever there is a sporting event on and working in the racing industry has always been a goal after his dream of being a jockey was cut short by height and weight issues.

Ryan Ayers
Chief Financial Officer

Ryan is a Chartered Accountant and is responsible for the financial management of the RACE Group.  He has extensive accounting experience, both in public practice and the commercial environment, having worked for various companies in New Zealand and London.  Ryan loves the fact he is working in the field he is trained in coupled with working in an industry he is passionate about.  Outside work Ryan's interests include most sports, in particular golf, tennis, water skiing and snow boarding.  He is also an avid rugby supporter and racehorse owner.
